In the factory automation (FA) industry, maintenance has traditionally consisted of scheduled maintenance at fixed intervals and corrective maintenance after failures.In recent years predictive maintenance has become increasingly important. In rotary machinery such as bearings and motors, component damage or insufficient lubrication generates minute abnormal vibrations in the high-frequency range up to 20 kHz before failures become serious. Measuring such high-frequency vibrations is challenging due to interference from noise, and detection has often relied on the experience of skilled technicians using auditory inspection.
By combining its long-established piezoelectric ceramic vibration detection technology with advanced circuit packaging expertise, Murata has developed the PKGM-210D-R, capable of detecting vibrations up to 20 kHz, the upper limit of the audible range. This enables detection of subtle high-frequency abnormal vibrations that were previously identified only by human hearing.

Infineon 40V GaN Bidirectional Switch
The CoolGaN™ BDS 40 V G3 product family comprises monolithic bidirectional switches (BDS) based on Infineon's gallium nitride technology. The devices are normally-off, with a single Schottky gate (SG) and the ability to block voltages and current in both directions. The GWC series of conductive polymer hybrid aluminum electrolytic capacitors is designed with high ripple current, low ESR, and high heat resistance to address the needs of the automotive and communications industries. The higher ripple current compared to the GXC series enables the use of fewer capacitors for lighter, more compact designs. This high-reliability series offers a long life of up to 4,000 hours at 135 °C. The GWC series is AEC-Q200-qualified and RoHS-compliant, with a capacitance range of 47 µF to 560 µF and rated voltage options of 25 V, 35 V, 50 V, and 63 V.
